Pre and Post Natal Services - Sea to Sky

Provided by Sea to Sky Community Services

Provides various pre and post natal care services such as parent drop-ins, education courses, and discussion groups.
The following services are provided:
Healthy Pregnancy Outreach:
This program helps prenatal women maintain good health and have healthy babies. It provides a weekly drop-in discussion group, a cooking club and one-on-one support. The program is for women who are pregnant or whose child is six months old or less. Weekly drop-ins occur in Squamish (38024 Fourth Avenue) on Wednesdays at noon and in Pemberton (1341 Aster Street) on Tuesdays at noon.

Early Years Centre:
provides enhanced coordination and integration of existing early years programs throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor; programs that include early childhood development support services, early learning, child care services, family support services, child mental health, public health and other programs and services designed for families with young children.

Mother Goose:
A 10-week group program for parents and their children up to 18 months of age. In a fun, relaxed setting, parents learn rhymes, songs and stories. They gain skills and confidence, discover positive ways to affect their children’s behaviour and strengthen bonds in the crucial early years.

Positive Discipline:
(For parents and caregivers of children 2 and up) This program offers parents and child care providers the long-term skills needed to encourage their children to think for themselves, become more responsible, and have greater respect for themselves and others.

Spark Parenting Education Course:
S.P.A.R.K. is a new program that helps parents learn fun strategies and activities that prepare a child for school. Just one 90-minute class three times a year, Once enrolled, children receive a free book every month until they are five.
