Mental Wellness Services

Provides various mental health services to its indigenous communities in the Mount Currie region.
The SSHS Mental Wellness Program addresses the emotional and mental health of the women, men and children of N̓Quatqua, Skatin, Samahquam and Xax̓sta. The program provides the information and support people need to successfully tackle obstacles to their mental wellness. The following services are offered:
  • Counselling
  • Referrals to regional mental health services
  • Referrals to other health care providers
  • Cultural and mental wellness programming for youth
  • Liaising with other agencies such as MCFD
