Provides urgent and emergency healthcare services to people in Whistler and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

Whistler Health Care Centre provides urgent and emergency health care services to people living and visiting Whistler and along the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Services include:

Social Worker: Sees patients with mild to moderate mental health or psychosocial concerns who may benefit from short term counselling (up to 6 sessions), or may require assistance navigating local and regional services (note: a referral is required from either a Whistler family physician or NP, Whistler Community Services, Howe Sound Women’s Centre, or Zero Ceiling.)
Mental health and substance use: Provides outpatient individual and group counselling for people with mental health or substance use issues.
Air quality program: Provides information and responds to complaints/concerns regarding indoor air quality.
Child health clinic: Provides immunizations, check growth and development and provide health information for children up to age five.
Drinking water program: Approves, inspects and monitors drinking water supplies for compliance with regulatory requirements.
Dental public health program: Provides services to prevent early childhood dental disease, including dental screening, risk assessments and information.
Harm reduction and needle exchange: Provides harm reduction services with a particular focus on injection drug users to reduce the spread of HIV and other communicable diseases such as Hepatitis. We offer needle exchange services to promote the safe recovery and disposal of used needles. We provide education and facilitate access to testing and treatment for communicable diseases as well as referrals to counselling services.
Healthy Families Program: Integrated case coordination and service referral of high priority families to reduce the incidence of child abuse, neglect, failure to thrive and psycho-developmental delay.
Hearing Screening: Provides hearing testing for infants and children
Immunizations: Provides seasonal and routine vaccinations, protecting us from the effects of a number of serious and potentially fatal infections and diseases like polio, diphtheria, measles and rubella.
Palliative and Home Care: Home hospice palliative care provides physical, emotional, social and spiritual care in the home to comfort and improve the quality of life for those living with or dying from advanced illness.
Prenatal and Early Years Program: Provides care and services to infants, children, youth and their families including prevention, education, assessment, and evaluation of health services.
School health program: Provides immunization and health information to school-aged children, staff and parents.
Speech Language services for children: Provides assessment, treatment, education and referrals for patients with various communication or swallowing disorders.
Tobacco and vapour reduction program: Supports initiatives related to smoking cessation, smoking prevention and protection from second-hand smoke.
Youth clinic: Provides drop-in, confidential health consultation for all youth (male, female and 2SLGBTIA+) without needing an appointment.
