A group for parents to better understand health youth development and attachment. The program promotes social, emotional and behavioural adjustment and attachment security.
Connect© has developed an eConnect online program using a secure videoconferencing platform to address the urgent need for accessible mental health interventions for vulnerable youth and families. Click here for more infomation.

Connect© helps caregivers understand basic attachment concepts which can then be applied across a broad range of situations and relational contexts. It is a manualized 10-week program for parents that promotes social, emotional and behavioural adjustment and attachment security in children and youth between the ages of 8 and 18 years of age. Different versions of the program are available for use with children/youth, kinship and foster carers, and for staff working in the group home, residential and hospital settings.

Access to the program is free of charge when offered by mental health clinicians and social service agencies to their clients.

The Connect Parent Group program has been offered in over 40 communities across BC, including urban, rural and remote regions of the province. If you are interested in finding out about a Connect Parent Group running in your area, please contact the program coordinator (see below).
