Supporting Today's Teens - For Parents and Caregivers

For parents and caregivers of teens or others who work in community with teens aged 13 – 19 years old, in the Whistler, Pemberton, and Squamish area.
Provides support and training on how to support today’s teens. Parents and Caregivers of teens (13-19 years old) in Whistler, Pemberton and Squamish areas to get together in-person, to learn from community experts and have connections and conversations to support each other.

Offers two workshops each year, typically in the fall and spring. Dates and times vary. For upcoming sessions, please visit the organization’s Facebook page.

Workshop topics focus on issues relevant to today’s teens and are presented by community experts. Topics may include youth mental health, supporting teens with ADHD, youth cannabis awareness, cyberbullying, vandalism and violence, sexual health and consent, tobacco and vapour products, and supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.

Registration: Individuals may register through Eventbrite. Attending each session is recommended, as skills learned build on one another; however, attendance at all sessions is not required.
