The Society aims to create a vibrant and inclusive community hub for seniors in Squamish where they can engage in social activities, foster connections, and access community resources to enrich quality of life for those 55+ years of age.
The Squamish 55+ Community Society aims to create a community where individuals aged 55 and above come together in a welcoming environment to prevent isolation by encouraging participation in social and educational events, forming new friendships, and feeling valued and embraced. In addition to events and forums presented by the Squamish 55+ Community Society, they have also compiled a directory of Community Resources in the areas of transportation, housing, health & wellness, government and other services which include more general services.
